Stephanie Hunt has been practicing massage therapy for 12 years. She started in a bodyworker spa therapy program and recently completed the RMT program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy at the top of her class. After working in a luxury spa for 13 years, she is transitioning to private practice. She can treat a variety of concerns from overuse injuries, sprains/strains, nerve impingement, pregnancy, and injury rehabilitation to stress reduction. She uses her previous spa experience to apply a flow relaxation treatment if stress management is your primary goal. She also can apply very specific deep techniques to areas of concern for those looking for therapeutic treatment.
Stephanie’s style of treatment is slow and specific to connect in with the affected tissue layers. She incorporates myofascial, swedish, petrissage, trigger point, neuromuscular, joint mobilization, and stretching (passive, PNF, dynamic) techniques to appropriately treat areas of concern. She focuses on client-centered care to come up with mutual goals and treatment plans to effectively treat your concerns.
During her free time, Stephanie enjoys forest nature walks, working out, and relaxing with a good book or movie. After experiencing her own serious health challenges and physical injuries her focus shifted to whole-body recovery. She practices a variety of nervous system and biomechanics rehabilitation exercises daily and is keen to learn more. She is interested in continuously learning and advancing her practice.
